Our Story
We are Janet and Roger Bainbridge and we live in beautiful Rockford, Michigan. We have twin sons, Ethan and Aaron, who are grown and living nearby in Grand Rapids. We also welcomed our daughter-in-law Michelle into the family when she and Aaron were married in May, 2017. Michelle is now an integral part of the family business! We have been dog lovers our whole lives and are thrilled to be breeders of Australian Labradoodles!
It all began years ago when Aaron wanted a dog of his own. He wanted a lab puppy, but because of his asthma we didn’t want to get him a dog who shed. We eventually bought Morgan, our F1 black Labradoodle. Morgan lived to be 11 years old, sadly dying in June 2015 of anal gland cancer. Morgan dealt with health issues his entire life including seizures, joint issues and fatty tumors. Despite that, he was a very special dog. He had so much character and was so loved by our family. When he was diagnosed with cancer we knew we would want another labradoodle in the future. We decided to create a Bucket List of things Morgan might want to do before he died, and one of the things on the list was to go to a dog park. It was there where we saw an Australian Labradoodle for the first time.
Soon after we lost our precious Morgan, we knew we wanted another dog, and that it would be an Australian Labradoodle. After a bit of research, and meeting a few wonderful breeders, we decided to not only add a new puppy to our family, but to also become Australian Labradoodle breeders ourselves! In March, 2016, Janet "retired" from a 30 year career as a mammographer to focus all of her time into our dogs, and is loving every minute of it!
We would love to share this wonderful breed with you!
